Income protection takes effect if you are unable to work due to an illness that lasts longer than 42 days. It is covered by public health insurance as standard if you are employed, and is particularly important as it can cover your living expenses in the event of illness. You can insure up to 100% of your net income.

This module ensures that you are also covered abroad. Even if your chosen tariff already includes international coverage, the cost are only covered up to the maximum amount that would occur in Germany for a similar treatment. Since in US for example the medical cost a more expensive, you are on the safe side with this tariff.
