Does my dog have to be on a leash to be covered?+

You don’t have to keep your dog on a leash at all times for your insurance coverage to be valid. This is not the determining factor for your insurance company’s decision to cover the damage. Even if your dog runs into the road and causes an accident, your insurance will still cover the damages.

Is my dog covered when a dog sitter takes care of him?+

Yes, your dog sitter is covered under your dog liability insurance — as long as they’re not caring for your dog on a professional or paid basis. If they are, they would need to have their own insurance.

How many dogs can I insure?+

You can insure as many dogs as you like. In the calculation tool above you are limited to a maximum of 3 dogs. Should you have more, simply write us an email and receive an individual offer from us.

What happens if my dog gets puppies?+

As long as the puppies remain in your care, they are automatically covered together with their mother — free of charge for up to 12 months.

Is my rented apartment also insured?+

Yes, your dog liability insurance covers damage to your rented apartment, for example, scratched doors or damaged walls — as well as other rented items, such as holiday homes or furniture. You're even covered if the damage happens while you're not present.
